Caity came to Lingfield Equine Vets in May 2017 for a 20 week work placement as part of the International Equine and Agricultural Business Management degree. She worked closely with Kate Granshaw to undertake her research into class IV laser treatment for equine suspensory ligament injuries which awarded a first class honours and she is working towards publication of her work.
On completion of her degree, Caity joined us as a full time nursing assistant. Caity particularly enjoys working with internal medicine patients, especially providing intensive nursing care to colic and diarrhoea patients, as well as foal care. She also has a keen interest in biosecurity management for patients requiring isolation. Caity is working towards her aim of enrolling in a veterinary medicine degree in 2019.
Prior to and throughout her degree, Caity was employed as an international eventing groom, travelling to Kentucky and Le Lion d'Angers working with Liz Halliday, among others. Caity keeps her own horses at her family home in the beautiful island of Angelsey, and returns as often as possible to ride.
